Ukraine-Bulgaria Partnership Strengthened in Defense Talks

President Zelensky expressed gratitude to the Bulgarian Parliament for recent decisions that significantly enhance Ukraine's resilience against aggressors. The support extends to Ukraine's Euro-Atlantic and Euro-integration paths, especially during negotiations for EU membership.
The leaders of the Bulgarian parliamentary coalition conveyed their best wishes for Ukraine's success and peace, assuring continued support from Bulgaria. The discussion also delved into further defense support for Ukraine and the use of frozen Russian assets to compensate for damages caused by aggression.
Zelensky appreciated Bulgaria's clear sanctions against the aggressor state and emphasized the importance of maintaining EU sanctions mechanisms. Notably, Romania, Bulgaria, and Turkey signed a memorandum for the creation and operation of an operational group for mine countermeasures in the Black Sea.
