Enhancements to Compensation Process
The Cabinet of Ministers has modified the procedure for providing compensation for destroyed real estate, specifically refining the term "compensation recipient." The announcement highlights improvements to the formula incorporating the indirect cost index, the prioritization procedure for compensation payouts, and the utilization of funds by subsidy recipients.
Verification Procedure and Housing Acquisition
Additionally, a verification procedure is introduced, allowing applicants to submit a single request for funding the purchase of housing, even if multiple housing certificates are available. This step aims to enhance the efficiency of the compensation program.
Changes in Compensation for Specific Categories
During the January 16th session, the government introduced amendments to the compensation procedure for the restoration of certain categories of real estate damaged by armed conflicts, terrorist acts, or sabotage caused by the armed aggression of the Russian Federation, using the "eRestoration" electronic public service.
Issuance of Cards and Expanded Product List
These changes include the possibility of issuing cards for special and current accounts. Moreover, the list of construction products that compensation recipients can purchase for ongoing or capital repairs to damaged housing has been expanded.
Background on eRestoration Program
The eRestoration program was launched on May 10, 2023. Any citizen whose housing was damaged due to the armed aggression of the Russian Federation can apply for state aid for the current repair of their residence. This can be done through the "Diya" portal or by contacting administrative service centers, social protection authorities, or notaries.
