On February 24, the anniversary of Russia's large-scale invasion, President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the Ukrainians. He began this day with words about the resilience of Ukrainians and expressed confidence that 2023 will be the year of victory over the aggressor.

"On February 24, millions of us made a choice: not a white flag, but a blue-yellow one. Not an escape, but a meeting. Meeting the enemy. Resistance and struggle," the president stressed, posting a video on Telegram.

He noted that the year of struggle was the year of pain, regret, faith and unity.

"And this is the year of our invincibility with you. We know that this will be the year of our victory with you!" Zelensky said.

Later, in a video message released by the Office of the President in honor of the anniversary of the invasion, Zelensky emphasized:

"We are strong. We are ready for anything. We will defeat everyone. Because we are Ukraine!" I said these words a year ago, in my first address since the beginning of a full-scale war. We didn't know what would happen tomorrow. But they understood for sure: you have to fight for every tomorrow! We've been standing for exactly one year."

The head of state stressed that Ukraine will withstand threats, shelling, cluster bombs, cruise missiles, kamikaze drones, blackout, cold, because Ukrainians are stronger than this.
