The media found a mysterious gunner who became the "eyes" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Gostomel

The media found out details about the activities of one of the Ukrainian defenders in Gostomel, who, during the landing of Russian troops near the airfield, organized his own resistance group and became the "eyes" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
We are talking about the Gostomel avenger Ruslan with the call sign "REM", who is called "a spotter from the people" on the Web. He, along with another 30 daredevils, made a significant contribution to the liberation of Gostomel and helped the Armed Forces of Ukraine direct artillery fire on the invaders, reporting in real time on their movement, according to the TSN story.
During a conversation with the media, Ruslan said that as of 8 am on February 24, there were at least 34 enemy aircraft at the Gostomel airfield. In the evening, after clashes with Ukrainian forces, the invaders managed to occupy almost the entire airfield.
Then Ruslan, together with his comrade Gennady, organized their own stronghold in an unfinished building next to the airfield and began to hit the Russians, passing "screenshots" with the data of their location to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to Gennady, the invaders did not know how large the group was countering them, so they were afraid of direct clashes, firing at nearby buildings just at random.
"In any case, we have shown that we exist, this is necessary. In all tactical textbooks, books it is written: if you meet the enemy, you need to open heavy fire on them. There are people, and people are afraid, they understand that they are being seen, at them shoot," says Gennady
This also affected the pace of advancement of Russian troops in the capital of Ukraine. Ruslan noted that his team completed their task to contain the enemy until our combat units arrived by 100%.
Despite the fact that Ruslan was no longer officially a military man in his position in Gostomel, he has considerable combat experience: he had previously actively fought against the enemy in eastern Ukraine and, in particular, defended the Donetsk airport in 2014.
The story notes that even though the Ukrainian avenger has the nickname of "a spotter from the people," nevertheless, the "eyes of Gostomel" were confident and professional in their work to eliminate the Russians.
