On the night of March 9, Russia once again attacked Ukraine.
At about one in the morning in Kyiv, an air alert was announced in a number of Ukrainian regions. Previously, it was about the attack of drones. This information has not been officially confirmed.
Then Andriy Yermak, head of the President's Office, announced at night with an official warning about the threat. On social media, he wrote a short but threatening message: "We do not ignore anxiety in any way."
And at about two o'clock in the morning, an air raid engulfed the whole of Ukraine. It was reported about the flight of drones in a number of areas and the work of air defense. But the information has not been officially confirmed.
In particular, it was reported about the sounds of explosions in Khmelnitsk, Zhytomyr, Zaporozhye, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Kyiv. There is also information about the sounds of explosions in the Ivano-Frankivsk, Khmelnitsky and Kyiv regions. There were no official reports from local authorities about explosions at night in these regions.
In some areas of Kyiv and the region, the light has disappeared. Probably, the electricity was turned off preventively.
DTEK reported that due to an enemy attack, emergency blackouts are applied. This is a forced preventive step that will avoid significant damage to the energy infrastructure if enemy missiles reach the target.
Explosions were also reported in Sumy, Vinnitsa, Kirovograd and Kyiv regions.
In total, the air raid in Ukraine lasted six hours. It was only at almost seven in the morning in a number of Ukrainian regions that air raid alerts began to sound, in particular, in western Ukraine.
