Russian occupiers are trying to encircle Avdeevka, Donetsk region. The invaders set themselves a goal - to achieve strategic success at the front in Ukraine.
Retired Lieutenant General Igor Romanenko noted that the Russians are forming large reserves at the front, but are forced to introduce them in parts, although it would be more effective to introduce the entire reserve army at once.
“The enemy is trying to encircle (Avdiivka) or carry out operational envelopment, popularly called a cauldron. If you look at the flanks, northern and southern, the distance between them in the Avdievka area is only 10 kilometers. Therefore, they have such a temptation, military, tactical, if they introduce their reserves, and they sent a whole brigade to the Avdeevskoye direction, so with some effort you can put it all together, achieve the boilers that they just can’t make,” the expert said on the FREEDOM TV channel
At the same time, he pointed out that if the Russians advance in the Avdeevsky direction, then a threat will arise not far from Marinka.
“Collectively, they have concentrated such a level of force here and are trying to implement these plans, which our Defense Forces are hindering and actively countering,” Romanenko concluded.
