North Korea is threatening to launch a nuclear attack on a US aircraft carrier off the coast of South Korea. According to KCNA, this statement was made in response to the arrival of the American aircraft carrier Ronald Reagan at the port of Busan on October 12.
The DPRK notes that the United States is persistently introducing various nuclear strategic weapons onto the Korean Peninsula, where there is a possibility of constant military clashes and the danger of an outbreak of nuclear war. North Korea's Ministry of Defense calls this "an undisguised military provocation that is bringing the situation to irrevocable catastrophic circumstances."
The DPRK notes that it “clarified the appropriate choice of actions and the direction of response regarding such actions” and recalls that the DPRK doctrine on the use of nuclear weapons allows it to carry out the necessary actions in the event that a nuclear strike is carried out against it or it is determined that the use of nuclear weapons against it weapons is inevitable.
“The most powerful and fastest first strike by the DPRK will be inflicted on the “extended deterrence” means of the United States, as well as on the evil bases on the Korean Peninsula and its environs,” the DPRK threatens.
