Ukrainian Parliament member David Arakhamia, head of the "Servant of the People" faction, recently announced plans to create a comprehensive document on the procedures for mobilization and demobilization. Arakhamia expressed concern about the influx of information regarding potential improvements to these processes, some of which lacked consultation with military experts.
Arakhamia emphasized the need to bring transparency to the discussions happening within the Committee on National Security, Defense, and Intelligence. He mentioned ongoing efforts to develop a comprehensive document that would address critical issues such as the situation of soldiers who have been in active service for an extended period without rotation.
The document aims to provide solutions to challenges, including the demobilization of disabled veterans and those who have experienced captivity. Additionally, it will address the complexities faced by soldiers with oncological conditions, ensuring that legal measures are in place to address their specific needs.
Arakhamia also highlighted the necessity of regulating the conscription age. The comprehensive document, scheduled for completion by the end of the year, will involve collaboration between the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"Once there is consensus on the document, it will be presented to the chamber," added Arakhamia.
