A powerful explosion was heard in Kyiv on Thursday, January 26, during a large-scale air raid. The city has an air defense system.
It is noted that the explosion was heard in different parts of the capital.
In turn, the mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko confirmed the information about the explosion in the Ukrainian capital.
"Explosion in Kyiv! Be in cover!" - the message says.
Later, the Kyiv mayor said that the explosion in the capital occurred in the Dnieper region.
"Explosions were heard in the Dnipro district of the capital. All services are on their way. Details later," the mayor of Kyiv said.
In turn, the Kyiv City Council on Facebook published a photo, probably from the place of impact in the Dniprovsky district.
In addition, as a result of the fall of a part of the rocket in the Goloseevsky district, people were injured.
"Goloseevsky district. As a result of the fall of a part of the rocket, there are victims. The information is being specified. Stay in shelters," the Kyiv city military administration said in a statement.
At the same time, Klitschko reported that a rocket hit a non-residential building in the Goloseevsky district, as a result of which one person died - a 55-year-old man, and two more wounded were hospitalized by doctors.
