Denmark will join the "tank coalition" and transfer Leopard 1A5 tanks to Ukraine, which are no longer used by the country's Armed Forces. The equipment will arrive in Ukraine within a few months.
According to DR.DK, before being sent to Ukraine, decommissioned Danish Leopard 1A5 tanks must be cleaned of dust and put on alert.
The publication notes that we are talking about older Leopard tanks. They are no longer part of the Danish Armed Forces. In 2010, these machines were sold to the German company FFG, but they are still in Denmark.
"It is expected that thanks to cooperation, it will be possible to deliver a three-digit number of old German tanks to combat operations in Ukraine," the media said.
