The total losses of Russian troops in Ukraine since the beginning of a full-scale invasion now amount to 200,000 people, of which up to 60,000 have been eliminated. This is reported by the Ministry of Defense of Great Britain in the daily report of its intelligence.
"The forces of the Russian Ministry of Defense and private military companies have apparently lost 175-200 thousand people since the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine. This, apparently, includes about 40-60 thousand killed," the report says.
At the same time, among the "Wagnerites" losses reach about 50% of their total number.
The British military department noted that Russian losses began to grow at an accelerated pace since September, when the so-called "partial mobilization" was carried out in Russia.
The British also note that the ratio of the number of liquidated to the number of wounded given in the report is abnormally high for a modern war.
"This almost certainly points to the extremely primitive medical support of most units," British intelligence said.
The British noted that the Russians suffered most of their losses from Ukrainian artillery strikes.
