Ukrainian soldiers beat off more than 130 attacks in a day, "hotly" in five directions - General Staff

The defense forces repulsed more than 130 attacks in 5 directions in a day, where the main enemy forces are concentrated.

"The enemy is concentrating its main efforts on conducting offensive operations in the Kupyansky, Limansky, Bakhmutsky, Avdeevsky and Shakhtyorsky directions. Over the past day, our defenders have repelled more than 130 enemy attacks in these directions," the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said in a morning report on the situation with Russian invasion.

In particular, in the Kupyansky and Limansky directions, the enemy conducted offensive operations in the areas of Nevsky, Serebryansky forestry and Belogorovka of the Lugansk region, but was not successful.

In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy does not abandon attempts to surround the city of Bakhmut. Over the past day, our defenders repulsed numerous attacks in the areas of the settlements of Vasyukovka, Zheleznyanskoye, Orekhovo-Vasilyevka, Dubovo-Vasilyevka, Grigorovka, Ivanovskoye and Bakhmut of the Donetsk region.

On the Avdeevsky and Mining directions, the enemy unsuccessfully attacked the positions of our troops near the settlements of Kamenka, Severnoye, Vodyanoye, Pervomayskoye, Nevelskoye, Krasnogorovka, Marinka and Pobeda.

According to the General Staff, in the Zaporozhye and Kherson directions, the enemy is on the defensive and is trying to improve the tactical situation in order to resume the offensive.

In the Volynsky, Polessky, Seversky and Slobozhansky directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly, and no enemy offensive groupings have been identified.

The General Staff reported that over the past day, the enemy launched 6 missile and 24 air strikes, carried out more than 65 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems, including on civilian infrastructure. He also carried out shelling of the territory of Ukraine from other types of weapons.

"The threat of missile strikes by the Russian Federation remains high throughout Ukraine," the General Staff said.
