If it doesn't matter, why did you storm it so zealously for 9 months and declared. Only this month they declared 10-15 times that they surrounded him and that they had already taken him, at least they cut off our roads, " - Serhiy Cherevaty, speaker of the Eastern Group of Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said on the air of the FREEDOM TV channel.
According to him, despite Prigozhin's statements, Bakhmut still matters to Russians. The small town has become an absolute symbol of their impotence. At the same time, Bakhmut is known as a symbol of heroism, courage, selflessness, combat skill, military art of Ukrainian commanders and soldiers.
"And therefore, Bakhmut is already a legend, Bakhmut is already a common name, Bakhmut is known all over the world and is known precisely because of the courage of our soldiers. And for them it is a symbol of humiliation and the inability to fulfill even an operational-tactical task, not to mention a strategic , which they took in order to take the entire Donetsk region by the end of March," Cherevaty stressed.
