The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy answered whether Europeans will be able to cover the US share in aid to Ukraine.
Zelenskyy told journalists about this during a joint press conference with the President of the European Council Antonio Costa.
In particular, the President of Ukraine was asked whether Europe would be able to support Ukraine on its own if the elected US President refuses to support Ukraine.
"I think that we should again count on unity between the United States and Europe. It is very difficult to support Ukraine without American aid. And we will discuss this with President Trump when he is in the White House," Zelenskyy emphasized.
In turn, Costa said that Europeans should be very clear about Ukraine.
"We want to welcome you one day as a member of the European Union and we will work with you to achieve this and to win a comprehensive, fair and lasting peace," Costa stressed.
