The Rada supported the bill on the legalization of medical cannabis in the first reading

This is reported by the Ukrainian media with reference to the telegram channel of the People's Deputy of Ukraine from the Holos party Yaroslav Zheleznyak. 268 deputies voted for the bill.
The bill notes that: medical cannabis must be used strictly in limited quantities, which in turn includes the use of cannabis, as well as medicines, extracts and tinctures based on it, exclusively for medical, industrial, as well as scientific and scientific and technical purposes; control over the use of medical cannabis, as well as the substances in which it is included, is carried out at the level of the police and the state service of Ukraine for medicines and drug control. It is also specified that medicines based on medical cannabis, as well as medicines containing it, will be available to consumers exclusively by electronic prescription.
It is known that this bill was submitted to the Rada last month. at the end of June, the President of Ukraine called for the adoption of this law as soon as possible.
It is assumed that patients with various surgical interventions, epilepsy, arthritis, rheumatism, as well as people with Parkinson's and Alzheimer's syndromes need treatment with cannabis-based drugs. Also, supporters of this law emphasize the importance of these drugs for an increasing number of people with post-traumatic stress disorder, which was obtained as a result of military operations at the front or as a result of the destruction of infrastructure.
