The Ukrainian military made a successful raid on the left bank of the Dnieper in the Kherson region. They probably broke through the defenses there to a depth of 800 meters.
This is reported in the report of the Institute for the Study of War. ISW refers to Russian military bloggers. They claim that the Armed Forces of Ukraine landed up to seven boats, each of which carried about six to seven people, on the eastern bank of the Dnieper near the village of Cossack Camps.
According to one of the "military correspondents", the Russian command recently redeployed a "prepared group" of Russian paratroopers (VDV) from the area of the Cossack Camps to the Zaporozhye region and replaced them with mobilized fighters of an unspecified unit. This weakened Russian defenses in the area.
According to analysts, Gauleiter of the Kherson region Volodymyr Saldo downplayed information about the Ukrainian landing and said that Russian artillery fire prevented the landing.
However, most well-known Russian military bloggers have confirmed that the UAF managed to use tactical surprise and land on the east coast before the Russians opened fire on them. Thus, Saldo was probably trying to deliberately downplay the achievements of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in this sector of the front.
As noted, the NASA Fire Information for Resource Management System (FIRMS) maps over the past 24 hours also show that there are outbreaks of fires near the Cossack Camps. This indicates active artillery fire.
At the end of the day, "military correspondents" began to write that the Defense Forces had left the left bank of the Dnieper. The ISW considers this a "limited raid" and not a full-fledged line break.
