Ukrainian forces were able to push the Russian invaders out of the outskirts of the village of Urozhayne, which is at the junction of the Donetsk and Zaporozhye regions. This is reported by the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
Analysts have compared statements by officials and military bloggers from both warring sides. Thus, the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Anna Malyar, said that Ukrainian troops had achieved certain successes south and southeast of Staromayorskoye in the direction of Urozhaynoye. She noted that Ukrainian forces continue to advance into Urozhayne.
In turn, some Russian sources claim that Ukrainian troops control the northern part of the village of Urozhaynoye. The well-known field commander of the "DNR" militants Alexander Khodakovsky, the commander of the "Vostok" battalion, said that it was his unit that was defending near Urozhayne. The terrorist complained about the lack of reserves and artillery support.
Some Russian military bloggers have claimed that Ukrainian troops continued their counteroffensive in the Rabotino region, south of Orekhov in the western part of the Zaporozhye region, and advanced to the southern outskirts of Kleschievka near Bakhmut. According to Malyar, Ukrainian troops advanced three square kilometers in the Bakhmut direction last week and liberated a total of 40 square kilometers since the beginning of the offensive operations of Ukrainian troops in this direction.
