Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo said that his country is preparing a new military aid package for Ukraine.
Orpo announced this at a press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv.
Zelensky said that today's visit of the Finnish prime minister was "meaningful and useful." In particular, the leaders of the states discussed the situation on the battlefield, security and humanitarian cooperation between the countries, as well as priority positions for Ukraine in the next aid packages from Finland.
"We are preparing the 18th package, similar in size to the previous ones. It will include heavy weapons, ammunition for them and other very necessary materials," Orpo said.
In response to a clarifying question on the specifics, the Finnish prime minister noted that "it's worth waiting for another two days" and the details will become known.
This is the second meeting between Zelensky and Orpo. Prior to this, the leaders of the states met in Helsinki during the May visit of the President of Ukraine to Finland.
