The city of Lviv, Ukraine, played host to a momentous event as the World Board of the Ukrainian Youth Association (UYA) held its global summit. The assembly brought together leaders of the UYA from Australia, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Belgium. The primary agenda of this gathering was to foster cooperation and provide assistance to the Ukrainian military, engaging with local volunteer and community initiatives.
Throughout the summit, participants engaged in a series of meetings with organizers of volunteer and community initiatives aimed at supporting the Ukrainian armed forces. Some of these partnerships, such as "Lviv Knights," have been in place since 2015, while others are just beginning to take shape.
Moreover, the members of the World Board of the UYA actively participated in the Volunteer Forum organized by the Ukrainian Youth Association in Ukraine. The forum provided a platform to discuss previously implemented collaborative projects and outline plans for future joint efforts among various UYA structures.
The significance of the Ukrainian Youth Association's work was further highlighted during a special celebration of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the Ukrainian Youth Association in Belgium. The event took place at the cultural and recreational center "Frankopole" in the Belgian Ardennes.
