A New Animated Movie "Mavka: The Forest Song" Debuts in South Korea

The animated feature "Mavka: The Forest Song" has made its much-awaited debut in South Korean cinemas. The screenplay is based on Lesya Ukrainka's dramatic work "The Forest Song" and incorporates elements of ancient Slavic mythology. This film's storyline captivates both adults and children, offering a magical journey into Ukrainian authenticity, vivid portrayals of Ukrainian motifs, and a captivating narrative.

This Ukrainian animated movie received support from Ukraine's State Film Agency (Derkino) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). It has been made possible through the joint efforts of FILM.UA Distribution and Kinomania Film Distribution, which have undertaken its theatrical distribution in Ukraine.

To celebrate the film's premiere in South Korea, the renowned Korean singer and actress, Sohyun Kim, lent her voice to Mavka's enchanting song. Her rendition aims to convey the film's magical messages about love, struggle, and eternal spring to the audience.

The creators of the film invite viewers to watch the video and listen to "The Forest Song" in Korean. They also encourage those in South Korea to visit the cinemas and experience the magic of Mavka's world on the big screen.
