Ukraine has its place at the NATO table. This was stated by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken during a meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council at the level of foreign ministers, which took place on Wednesday, November 29.
As Zn.ua writes, he emphasized that the United States is focused on constant support and commitment to Ukraine. According to him, the United States has already provided $77 billion in assistance to Ukraine.
“Another critical point that is really worth emphasizing - and this is reinforced by everything that I have seen here in the last two days - when it comes to Ukraine, the United States is not alone. There were some issues that the Alliance discussed with Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba. And this was the first meeting of foreign ministers at the new Ukraine-NATO council. Ukraine is sitting in its place at the NATO table,” he said, noting that Kiev is determined to see all reforms through to completion.
Speaking about assistance, Blinken emphasized that in addition to $77 billion in support from the United States, Kyiv received more than $100 billion in assistance from European countries.
“That’s why we often talk about sharing the burden and the need to share the burden. As for Ukraine, this is obvious: we have seen it and will see it. Ukraine knows that its future is a free dynamic democracy. And Ukraine’s path to NATO and the European Union will depend on its reform efforts," said the US Secretary of State.
