The current situation in Avdeevka, Donetsk region, resembles the events that took place 8 months ago in Bakhmut. The Russians do not stop "meat assaults".
Military analyst, former SBU officer Ivan Stupak stated this on the FREEDOM TV channel. He stressed that now the Russians are pressing “especially actively.”
“The Ukrainian military has to leave some positions. The Russian Federation is destroying building after building, our military simply has nothing to cling to. The buildings are destroyed, and the military is simply forced to roll back. The situation is beginning to resemble Bakhmut approximately 8 months ago,” the expert explained.
To detect Ukrainian positions, the occupiers use “meat assault” tactics. After this, Russian drones begin to adjust fire on our defenders.
“The wave is coming, small groups are constantly being modernized, modified. The first wave is coming, its task is to come as close as possible, force our military to reveal their positions and begin to attack the Russian advancing units. At this time, there are Russian drones in the sky, which identify Ukrainian positions and begin to adjust fire on our military. That is, the task of the attackers is to identify positions and force the Ukrainian military to open up," Stupak concluded.
