Storm in Ukraine: Over 360 Settlements Left Without Electricity Due to Severe Weather

Heavy snowfall and adverse weather conditions in nine regions of Ukraine have resulted in 368 settlements being without electricity, as reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine on their official Facebook account through Ukrinform's correspondent. In response to the situation, Ukraine's State Agency of Automobile Roads (Ukravtodor) has provided information on the current state of road traffic on public roads. Meanwhile, traffic restrictions persist on two highways in the Mykolaiv region: T-15-06 Mykolaiv-Domanivka-Berizky and T-15-10 Arbuzynka-Nova Odesa. Snow clearing operations are underway in the Mykolaiv, Odesa, and Kirovohrad regions.

Since November 26, 2023, when abnormal weather conditions began, the Ukrainian State Emergency Service has towed 1,867 vehicles, removed 178 fallen trees, and provided aid to more than 4,000 individuals, including 226 children.

Transport Challenges and Support in Adverse Weather Conditions

Severe snowfall and abnormal weather conditions have created significant transport challenges in various parts of Ukraine. However, Ukraine's State Agency of Automobile Roads emphasizes its commitment to providing information on the current state of roads, ensuring road safety throughout the country.

A crucial measure involves maintaining traffic restrictions on two key highways in the Mykolaiv region as a precautionary measure to prevent emergencies and ensure the safety of citizens.

Large-Scale Operations to Address the Consequences of Adverse Weather

Operations to clear roads of snow and address the consequences of adverse weather are actively taking place in the Mykolaiv, Odesa, and Kirovohrad regions. These efforts aim to restore normal traffic flow and provide comfortable conditions for residents.

Since November 26, 2023, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine has demonstrated high efficiency, evacuating a substantial number of vehicles and providing assistance to thousands of people, including children. These efforts are focused on minimizing potential negative consequences of natural disasters for the population.

The overall number of evacuated vehicles, cleared trees, and provided assistance attests to the significant efforts being made to restore normalcy amidst challenging weather conditions.
