The Falcon 9 rocket, equipped with 23 Starlink satellites, lifted off from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida on December 3. Within approximately 8.5 minutes after liftoff, the first reusable stage of the rocket safely landed on the drone ship "A Shortfall of Gravitas" in the Atlantic Ocean.
Confirming the successful deployment, SpaceX announced that the newly launched satellites were now positioned in medium Earth orbit. With this latest addition, the Starlink constellation, a mega-constellation of broadband Internet satellites by SpaceX, has surpassed 5000 operational satellites.
This achievement follows SpaceX's recent launch on November 28, where another set of 23 Starlink satellites were successfully placed in orbit. The company continues to expand its satellite network, aiming to provide global Internet coverage.
