On the night of December 6, Russian occupiers attacked Ukraine with Shahed-type drones from two directions - Cape Chauda in the occupied Crimea and the Kursk region of Russia.
This is discussed in the message of the Air Force. They noted that a total of 48 Shahed-136/131 strike UAV launches were recorded.
“As a result of the anti-aircraft battle by the forces and means of the Air Force, in cooperation with the air defense of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, 41 enemy attack UAVs were destroyed,” the Air Force reported on the results of the work.
They added that fighter aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces were involved in the battle.
“Commander of the Air Force, Lieutenant General Nikolai Oleshchuk, thanks all the soldiers for protecting the airspace and once again notes the combat work of the units of mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces! They accounted for the majority of the destroyed “martyrs”!” the message says.
