The city administration of Kiev is exploring the possibility of launching a shuttle service via an intact tunnel between the "Demiivska" and "Teremky" metro stations. This initiative comes in response to issues on a 14-meter stretch between the "Demiivska" and "Lybidska" stations, where cracks and ground subsidence were discovered in early November. Recent developments have exacerbated the situation, leading to water seepage through the cracks, posing a potential collapse threat. Consequently, several stations on the blue line had to be closed.
To address this, measures are underway to reinforce the tunnel from within, installing beacons to prevent crack expansion. Temporary closure of this metro section has aided in stabilizing water flow, preventing flooding incidents.
