In the Avdeevsky direction, Russia is regrouping and preparing for the third wave of a massive assault, which is likely to be more powerful than the previous two. Military analyst Alexander Kovalenko came to this conclusion after observing the situation around this city.
According to him, in recent days, most attacks in the Avdeevka direction have been carried out by units from the so-called “first army corps,” i.e. detachments of the terrorist group "DPR". At the same time, the regular Russian army, which has more combat-ready units, launches attacks much less frequently.
Kovalenko is confident that this indicates that the aggressor has carried out a “thorough” regrouping and replenishment of units after previously suffering heavy losses.
“Moreover, the preparations are thorough. (...) Accordingly, the third wave of the offensive, much more powerful than the previous two, could take place before the end of December, within the next week or two,” says the expert.
According to Kovalenko, the Russian command has set two “deadlines” for the capture of Avdievka - before the New Year or before Putin’s March “elections”.
The analyst also associates the increased activity of Russians along the entire eastern front line with the upcoming third assault on Avdeevka. In his opinion, this is how the Russians want to “test their luck” and try to advance in other areas in order to implement plan “B” in case of failure to capture Avdeevka.
