Ukraine is ready to help unrecognized Transnistria overcome the humanitarian crisis, but does not see a reaction from those who control the situation in this territory.
President Volodymyr Zelensky said this in an evening video address. He added that Moscow's deliberate actions led to a vacuum of energy resources and the suffering of people in Transnistria. According to him, Russia is thus trying to influence public sentiment in Moldova before the elections:
"Ukraine can help with coal. However, so far we have not seen a response from those who actually control the situation on the left bank of the Dniester. If they play along with Russia, that's one thing, but it's quite another thing if they really want to help people in Transnistria. There is readiness on our part."
