Ukraine has a fairly large mobilization resource. At least 50 or 100 thousand Ukrainian law enforcement officers can be sent to the front.
According to military analyst and former company commander of the Aidar battalion, Yevgeny Diky, there are too many people protecting law and order and all of them have undergone physical training, a medical examination and have basic weapons skills.
“Do we really need 250 thousand policemen in the rear during the war? Aren’t there a lot of people protecting our law and order? I don’t want to say that we need all of them to the front. Of course, we need law and order. And if we took all the police to the front, then tomorrow we would have problems leaving the house. But, forgive me, 250 thousand is a lot. So I think that 50 or 100 thousand could easily be taken to the front," the ATO veteran noted in an interview with TSN.
At the same time, he indicated that in order to resolve this issue, law enforcement agencies only need to reduce the booking quota.
“I gave the example of the National Police, because there are the most of them. But in fact, besides them, there is also the DBR, NABU, NAPC, Fiscal Police, Customs. These are the structures where all employees, by definition, undergo physical training, a medical examination, and have at least basic weapons skills,” Dikiy explained his position.
He pointed out that 50-100 thousand people who already have a basic level of mobilized skills can be absolutely calmly and quickly sent to the front.
