Inaugural Gathering in The Hague
The Netherlands witnessed an unprecedented gathering as the first Ukrainian Community Forum convened in The Hague. This assembly became a pivotal space for addressing pertinent concerns and charting the course for the development of the Ukrainian community in the Netherlands. Ambassador Oleksandr Karasevych highlighted the significance of this event, underscoring its emergence from a year-long idea and extending gratitude to the proactive group that made it possible.

Ambassador Karasevych emphasized Ukraine's historical resilience against centuries of Russian attempts to undermine its existence. He lauded the Ukrainian people's valor and steadfastness in preserving their identity, language, and culture, reinstating statehood after years of colonial oppression. Language and culture, he stressed, serve as defining facets of the nation's identity, uniting and empowering every Ukrainian, whether on native soil or abroad.

The Ukrainian Community Forum in the Netherlands brought together over 100 participants, including representatives from civic organizations, educational centers, cultural and creative groups, volunteer initiatives, as well as artists, writers, translators, and active citizens.
