Details of a hacker attack on the network of the mobile operator Kyivstar have become known.
According to a representative of the mobile operator, today, December 12, the Kyivstar communication network was subject to a hacker attack.
“The network became the target of a powerful hacker attack, which caused a technical failure, as a result of which communication services and Internet access were temporarily unavailable,” the representative emphasized.
He noted that in order to record the circumstances and consequences of illegal actions to interfere with the company’s network, the operator attracted representatives of law enforcement agencies and special government services who are now working in the company’s office.
According to the company, as of now it is known that the personal data of subscribers has not been compromised. The operator’s specialists are working to eliminate the consequences of the hacker attack to quickly restore communications and provide services.
Kyivstar will definitely provide compensation to subscribers who had no connection or could not use the operator’s services. We apologize to subscribers for the temporary inconvenience and thank you for your understanding,” the company said.
