Large-scale failure in the work of Kyivstar: what problems were encountered in the regions

Due to a large-scale failure in the work of the Kyivstar operator, which caused a lack of mobile communications and the Internet, in some cities there were problems with turning off street lighting, parking, and paying for travel.
Thus, in Lviv, due to problems with Kyivstar, street lighting has to be turned off manually.
“Today we have an unusual situation. Due to a malfunction with the mobile operator Kyivstar, all shutdowns of street lighting power lines have to be carried out manually. Therefore, the time for street lighting and emergency work may be increased,” the Lviv City Council said in a statement.
And in Sumy, due to a failure, the air raid warning system will temporarily not work.
As the mayor's office reported, while the mobile operator's specialists are eliminating technical faults, alerts during an air raid will be carried out by patrol police and the State Emergency Service. Citizens were also urged to monitor air raid warning messages on official information resources.
In Uzhgorod, it is not possible to pay for paid parking services through a terminal. Currently, payments are made only through the Smart Uzhhorod mobile application.
The mayor's office noted that the application can be downloaded from the App Store and Google play market or by scanning the QR code.
The Rivne City Council reported that due to a malfunction of the mobile operator, a problem arose with the functioning of “hot lines” for citizens. Calls are now accepted to landline numbers. The same problem arose in the city of Dnepr.
In Chernivtsi, there may be temporary difficulties with paying for travel on public transport with bank cards.
As the Chernivtsi Trolleybus Administration informed, all trips are registered on the validator, but the fares will be written off as soon as the network resumes operation.
Citizens are advised to use other methods of paying for travel, namely: transport cards; QR codes of the Privat24 and EasyPay applications; "Day" travel ticket; with a ticket purchased at the EasyPay, City24, Moneycom self-service terminal.
In addition, due to a malfunction of the Kyivstar operator, there may be problems with the operation of some PrivatBank ATMs and terminals, including when paying by card in stores.
