Among the esteemed awardees were Armand Duplantis from Sweden, acknowledged as the 2023 male pole vault champion, and Yulimar Rojas from Venezuela, hailed as the top female triple jumper.

In the realm of track events, the accolades were bestowed upon Faith Kipyegon from Kenya for her dominance in the 1500 meters/mile/5000 meters and American sprinter Noah Lyles for his speed mastery in the 100 meters/200 meters categories.
