NBU's Official Exchange Rates
The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) revealed the official exchange rates for Wednesday, December 13, indicating a weakening of the Ukrainian hryvnia against both the US dollar and the euro.
Decline Against Major Currencies
On Wednesday, the official euro exchange rate was set at 39.94 UAH/EUR, showcasing a decrease in the hryvnia's value by 27 kopecks compared to today's rate. Simultaneously, the dollar saw a depreciation of the hryvnia by 12 kopecks, settling at 36.99 UAH/USD.
Interbank Market Rates
In the interbank foreign exchange market, as of 4:00 PM, the quotes for the hryvnia stood at 36.99/37.02 UAH/USD and 39.88/39.89 UAH/EUR, respectively.
Currency Rates Across Ukraine
Currency rates observed variations across the country's banking and exchange sectors. In banks, the cash dollar rate increased by 20 kopecks, averaging at 37.65 UAH/USD, while the euro weakened by 10 kopecks, reaching 40.65 UAH/EUR.
Exchange Booth Averages
Exchange booths in Kyiv witnessed a similar trend with the average dollar rate rising by 19 kopecks to 37.69 UAH/USD (selling at 37.56 UAH) and the euro increasing by 20 kopecks to 40.70 UAH/EUR (selling at 40.49 UAH).
Rates in "PrivatBank"
"PrivatBank" noted a 5 kopecks increase in the dollar rate, reaching 37.40 UAH/USD, while the euro rate remained unchanged from the previous day at 40.60 UAH/EUR.
