Cyber Threats on "Kyivstar" Subscribers
The Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs has raised an alert regarding a growing threat faced by "Kyivstar" subscribers. Cybercriminals are employing deceptive tactics through messenger platforms, creating fake bots that impersonate the telecommunication operator.

Deceptive Tactics Uncovered
These scammers distribute phishing links under the pretext of compensation or providing information about the restoration timelines for the operator's services. Once the user engages, they are prompted to follow a link and register to allegedly receive monetary compensation.

Accessing Personal Information
Upon interaction, these criminals gain access to users' social media profiles and online banking details. The Ministry warns against trusting information from unofficial sources and advises against clicking suspicious links or sharing personal information like phone numbers.

"Kyivstar" Service Restoration Updates
Following a massive network disruption on December 12, affecting mobile communication, internet services, and the operator's website, "Kyivstar" attributed the issue to a powerful hacker attack.

Restoration Efforts and Future Plans
The President of "Kyivstar," Oleksandr Komarov, mentioned plans for restoring some services by the latter half of December 13. He emphasized the complexities involved, acknowledging numerous uncertainties and hindrances in expediting the process due to the severity of the attack.
