The "Dii" application has opened its doors for Ukrainians aged 14 and above to choose an additional finalist for the national selection of Eurovision 2024 between December 15 and 21.

Changing Traditions for Eurovision

With an aim to revolutionize the main song contest, Ukraine is allowing its citizens to select an eleventh finalist for Eurovision 2024 through "Dii" for the first time ever.

What's at Stake?

The chosen winner will vie for the chance to represent Ukraine at the 68th Eurovision Song Contest held in Sweden.

A Different Approach

Due to the ongoing conflict, hosting full-scale semi-finals for the national selection became unfeasible. Consequently, many compositions from the long list of participants might have gone unnoticed. Thus, an additional stage has been introduced—an audience choice.

Public Engagement

Ukrainians will have the chance to listen to all the songs that didn't make it to the National Selection finals and, through polls on "Dii," decide who becomes the additional finalist.

How to Participate

Anyone aged 14 or above can join the voting process. They can access the "Dii" application, navigate to the Services section, and select the Survey option. Votes can be cast for one of the nine performers listed:

ANKA ("Палала")
Carpetman ("Endless fight")
KARYOTYPE ("Sadness")
KRYLATA ("Queen")
PARFENIUK ("Серед вітрів")
SHÉPA ("SUPERNOVA")
STASYA ("Rika")
SWOIIA ("Little Angels")
TESLENKO ("Lights go up").
The artist who garners the most votes will secure a spot as a finalist in the National Selection and compete for the opportunity to represent Ukraine at Eurovision 2024 in Malmo. The complete list of finalists will be announced by December 29.

Prior Engagements

Previously, through "Dii," Ukrainians chose their representative for Junior Eurovision 2023. Anastasiia Dymyd emerged as the winner with the song "Квітка" based on audience voting and jury selection.

Government Collaboration

The "Dii" survey is a joint effort between the Ministry of Digital Transformation, the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, and Public Broadcasting.

Upcoming Finals

The National Selection final for participation in the "Eurovision-2024" song contest is scheduled for February 3. Traditionally, the winner is determined by a combined vote from the jury and viewers.
