Without a decision from Congress, there will be no more weapons for Ukraine, - White House

Until the US Congress approves President Joe Biden's request for additional funding, Washington will not be able to supply aid to Kyiv. This statement was made by White House National Security Council coordinator John Kirby. At the same time, he emphasized that the US administration will do everything possible to ensure that Ukrainians receive the necessary weapons.
"They (arms supplies - ed.) will be forced to stop. The President signed the last security aid package, which we had the authority to replenish. That's all. We need additional legislation to provide additional assistance to Ukraine," he explained during the briefing.
He also noted that the latest package, the allocation of which the United States announced at the end of December, should arrive in Ukraine in the coming weeks.
“But after that, without additional funding, there is no other magic pot from which something could be pulled,” Kirby stated.
