On the evening of January 10, Russian occupation forces launched attacks on the central part of Kharkov, two missiles hit a hotel. A fire broke out at the site of the impact.
The State Emergency Service reported this. It is noted that rescue units, National Police and emergency medical services were immediately sent to the site.
“At the time of their arrival, damage was discovered to the three-story hotel building, as well as to cars parked nearby. The fire area was about 20 square meters. 8 people were evacuated from the building,” the report says.
9 units of fire and rescue equipment and 70 personnel of the State Emergency Service worked at the scene of the incident.
At the same time, the mayor of Kharkov, Igor Terekhov, clarified that not only the hotel was damaged as a result of the Russian attack.
“Two missiles hit a hotel in the center of Kharkov. Not a single military man was there. But there were 30 civilians, eleven of whom were wounded by Russian missiles. Among the victims were Turkish journalists. All eleven are now in hospitals, one is in very serious condition. Except for the hotel "Residential buildings were damaged - one communal, one private, a car dealership, a manufacturing enterprise. People who needed it were resettled in other places," he said.
