The university's teachers and scientists are already developing training modules for 25 teams from different regions of Ukraine, helping communities overcome the challenges of post-war reconstruction, according to a statement on the company's website.

The university is developing modules for improving the qualifications of municipal managers, focusing on the practical aspects of reconstruction: data analysis for planning, project management, preparation of grant applications and work with the post-traumatic population. Thanks to modern methods, participants will receive not only theoretical knowledge, but also practical tools for implementing reconstruction projects. The curriculum combines online lectures, offline meetings, forums, workshops and study tours. Upon completion of the program, participants will receive certificates, and the most successful will be able to continue their education at leading Ukrainian universities.

"We consider it our duty to promote the training of professional personnel capable of restoring communities and building a new future. Participation in the "School of Community Restoration" project is our contribution to the revival and development of Ukraine. We provide participants not only with knowledge, but also with practical solutions that will help transform the country after the victory," said Metinvest Polytechnic Rector Oleksandr Povazhny.

The creation of the "School of Community Restoration" was initiated by the Association of Ukrainian Cities and the public organization "Mariupol.Reborn". The idea arose as a response to the requests of communities that have already begun to recover or are actively working on developing a recovery strategy, because one of the main challenges is the shortage of professional personnel and expert knowledge. Therefore, the experts of the Mariupol Reborn team share their expertise in recovery planning, train qualified specialists and develop effective strategies.

The project is being implemented with the support of the UK Government within the framework of the UK International Development program and the International Republican Institute (IRI Ukraine), in partnership with the Metinvest Group and the largest investment group in Ukraine - SCM. Natalia Yemchenko, SCM Communications Director and member of the Supervisory Board of the NGO "Mariupol Reborn", noted: the role of business in the "School of Community Restoration" project is not only financial support.

"We share our successful applied cases, in particular through the involvement of Metinvest Polytechnic. This is practical experience in training specialists, which shows real results. Metinvest Polytechnic programs accumulate all the educational experience, providing real knowledge. Therefore, we hope that this will be useful for every Ukrainian community, - noted Natalia Yemchenko.

"We can adopt successful cases of restoration in other countries, but it is we, Ukrainians, who will have to revive the territories affected by the war. Therefore, we create an opportunity to learn from the best in order to build strong communities," said Vadym Boychenko, Chairman of the Section of the Association of Ukrainian Cities on the Development of Deoccupied and Temporarily Occupied Communities, Mayor of Mariupol.

As is known, Akhmetov's Metinvest has invested almost 600 million in the development of education - this is the largest amount of investment among private companies. Now the Metinvest Polytechnic University graduates bachelors, masters, and has its own postgraduate program: it teaches not only metallurgists, miners, but also programmers and business analysts - a total of 34 educational programs. Since 2022, more than 1,000 people have become students of the educational institution. Classes are held both offline and online.
