Republicans criticized the administration of US President Joe Biden for insufficient assistance to Ukraine and demanded decisive action. The corresponding document was published by three committees of the House of Representatives of Congress, which are headed by representatives of the Republican Party.
Ukrinform writes that the “proposed plan for victory in Ukraine,” which was signed by the chairmen of the Foreign Affairs Committee Michael McCaul, the Armed Services Committee Mike Rogers and the Intelligence Committee Mike Turner, was developed late last year.
It is noted that the purpose of the document is “to answer critical questions about the support of Ukraine from the United States and its allies and to present a plan for victory in which we win and Russia loses.” There are only five sections: "The Threat", "The Proposed Plan for Victory", "Oversight", "Distribution of Support" and "A Timeline of Biden's Deadly Delays in Providing Arms to Ukraine."
"Russia and an alliance consisting of China, Iran and its apostates (such as Hamas and Hezbollah) and North Korea are working together to undermine American interests around the world. Their goal is to weaken the US economy, break up key alliances and establish new world order of totalitarianism. Not since World War II has the United States faced a more dangerous set of adversaries,” the document says.
It is stated that the US Congress is responsible for protecting freedom from countries such as Russia, China and Iran.
“Biden’s mantra of supporting Ukraine ‘as long as necessary’ is a losing strategy,” the plan says.
House Republicans insist Biden must present a credible plan for victory and give Ukraine the weapons it needs to achieve it as quickly as possible, because any delay costs the lives of Ukrainians and American taxpayers.
The path to victory for Ukraine:
- firstly, in the speedy provision of critical weapons to her;
- secondly, tightening sanctions against the Putin regime;
- thirdly, the transfer to Ukraine of 300 billion frozen Russian sovereign assets.
In addition, congressmen pointed out the need to monitor American aid, while they admitted that the checks did not reveal violations. They are convinced that Ukraine's victory will "prevent a Russian invasion of a NATO country, which would be immeasurably more expensive in terms of American blood and treasure."
“In the wake of President Biden’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan, Ukraine’s support in the fight against Putin’s forces is critical to renewing American deterrence in Europe, the Middle East, and the Indo-Pacific,” the House committee chairs said.
American politicians believe that the document "will provide Ukraine with the opportunity to achieve the necessary successes on the battlefield to force Putin to the negotiating table."
