In the Avdeevka area of the Donetsk region, Russians carry out assaults in small groups on foot around the clock. The enemy is trying to protect the equipment and is focusing on the use of drones, said Sergei Tsekhotsky, an officer of the 59th separate motorized infantry brigade named after Yakov Handzyuk.

“Compared to what was before, it’s a little less, but they’re still climbing. They don’t stop trying to attack and encircle Avdeevka. Day and night in small groups. They use equipment somewhere from afar, but they use a little more unmanned vehicles of the Lancet type.” "And they are not yet making such big "meat" assaults, as they did in October, when they marched en masse and got screwed. This will continue to happen to them," the military man emphasized on the telethon.

He added that Ukrainian defenders were preparing for intensified enemy assaults on Avdiivka.

“We gave them certain “surprises”: ambushes, mining and all that stuff. We hold our positions despite all the difficult weather conditions,” Tsekhotsky noted.

According to an officer of the 59th separate motorized infantry brigade, the Russians are now using poorly equipped and not very professional personnel for infantry attacks near Avdeevka. Therefore, the main threat comes from enemy artillery shelling before assaults.

“They are not very equipped, because there is a contingent that the Russians do not really feel sorry for at all. But they are still taught what to do, they have weapons in their hands. The greatest danger comes from the artillery shelling that takes place before their assaults,” - he explained.

According to the Ukrainian military, the motivation of the Russian contingent, which continues to carry out the orders of its military leadership and launch assaults around Avdiivka, is influenced by three main components.

“I’ll say this, narcotic drugs plus propaganda, plus their barrage detachments. We have a lot of examples, their prisoners talk about the kind of torture and abuse they (the Russians) commit against their own soldiers, military personnel who are guilty of one or another disciplinary procedure. Therefore, You can’t call them warriors at all,” Tsehotsky emphasized.

He is confident that the Ukrainian Defense Forces will become even stronger every day, and the Russians will truly understand what a war against Ukraine is.

“We are also monitoring what is happening on their territory, so I think that everything in the complex will work out sooner or later. And the truth will come out, and we will become even stronger. The skill of all our units, which I see, is like no other they won't teach military school. Still, our main approach is respect between officers and soldiers, between generals and soldiers. We don't have this council of deputies, when “I am the boss, you are a fool,” this immediately stops at the first manifestations, wherever it did not manifest itself. We are all one team and family, I mean the entire Defense Forces," Tsiekhotsky emphasized.
