On the night of Thursday, January 18, the Moscow and Leningrad regions of the Russian Federation were attacked by drones. Explosions were heard in Podolsk.
“Tonight, air defense forces in the urban district of Podolsk repelled an attack by a drone that was flying towards Moscow. At the site of the fall of the debris, according to preliminary data, there was no destruction or casualties. Emergency services specialists are working at the scene,” said Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.

The Russian Ministry of Defense says that drones attacked not only the Moscow region, but also the Leningrad region.
“Duty air defense systems destroyed one unmanned aerial vehicle over the territory of the Moscow region and one intercepted over the territory of the Leningrad region,” the department said.
