Over the past 24 hours, January 21, 68 military clashes took place at the front between the Defense Forces and the Russian invaders.
According to the General Staff in its morning report, in the Kupyansk direction the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 7 enemy attacks near Sinkovka, Kharkov region.
In the Liman direction, the enemy made 5 attacks near Ternov, Yampolovka, Donetsk region, and another 6 attacks near Belogorivka, Lugansk region, but was unsuccessful. In the Bakhmut direction, our defenders repulsed 7 assault attempts by the Russians east of Grigorovka, Bogdanovka, Ivanovsky and Kleshchievka in the Donetsk region.
“In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the enemy, who does not abandon attempts to encircle Avdiivka. Our soldiers staunchly hold the defense, inflicting significant losses on the invaders. Thus, over the past 24 hours, the Defense Forces have repelled 5 attacks by the invaders in the areas of Novobakhmutovka, Stepnoy, Avdiivka and 12 more attacks south of Severny, Pervomaisky and Nevelsky Donetsk region,” the General Staff said.
In the Maryinsky direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine restrained the assaults of the invaders in the Georgievka and Novomikhailovka areas of the Donetsk region. 5 attacks were repelled there.
At the same time, in the Zaporozhye direction, the Russians made 7 unsuccessful attacks west of Verbovoy and Rabotinoy. In the Kherson direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue measures to expand the bridgehead. 6 assaults on the positions of Ukrainian troops were repulsed.
