Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder confirmed that Ukraine may receive a new GLSDB long-range precision bomb from the United States. However, he did not announce the timing of the transfer.

"As acknowledged last year, we will provide Ukraine with GLSDB as part of our security assistance efforts. However, due to security concerns for our operations, we cannot confirm specific timing," a US Department of Defense spokesman said during a briefing.

It is expected that the new bomb can travel about 150 kilometers, which could give Ukraine a certain advantage and complement the arsenal of long-range fire weapons.

Ryder indicated that the transfer of these bombs is taking place within the framework of the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative, which provides for the provision of funds within the limits of funding previously adopted by Congress for the production of new weapons for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
