Tough fighting is underway at the front: the General Staff revealed where the situation is the most difficult

Over the past 24 hours, February 1, 63 military clashes took place at the front between Ukrainian troops and occupation forces.
According to the General Staff in its morning report, in the Kupyansky direction the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 5 attacks near Ivanovka, Kharkov region. Another assault attempt was stopped in the Liman direction in the Ternov region of the Donetsk region.
The enemy also made one unsuccessful attack in the Bakhmut direction near Kleschievka, Donetsk region.
“In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the enemy, who is not abandoning attempts to encircle Avdiivka. Our soldiers staunchly hold the defense, inflicting significant losses on the invaders. Thus, over the past 24 hours, the Defense Forces have repulsed 16 enemy attacks in the Avdiivka area and 6 more attacks near Pervomaisky and Nevelsky Donetsk region," the General Staff said.
In the Maryinsky direction, battles took place near Krasnohorivka, Georgievka and Novomikhailovka, Donetsk region. The Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 11 Russian attacks. The enemy made another assault attempt in the Shakhtarsky direction south of Zolotaya Niva, Donetsk region, but was unsuccessful. The same situation has developed in the Zaporizhzhya direction in the Rabotinoy area of the Zaporozhye region.
“In the Kherson direction, the defense forces continue to hold positions and repel assaults by the occupying forces. Despite significant losses, the enemy does not abandon attempts to dislodge our units from their positions. Thus, over the past 24 hours, the enemy carried out 14 unsuccessful assault operations,” the department noted .
