Yesterday, on the left bank, the Russian occupiers became more active, but received a powerful response from the Defense Forces. Natalya Gumenyuk, head of the Joint Coordination Press Center of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine, said this during the telethon.

“The situation is very complex. Such different dynamics of enemy assaults are exhausting, it is very difficult to perceive and plan combat work, but our units are always on the alert, always giving a very powerful rebuff to the enemy and his assault actions. If the day before last there were three attempts at assault operations, then over the past day they have intensified to 13,” she noted.

At the same time, she added that the enemy traditionally does not use armored vehicles there, because he understands that he will lose them, so they are trying to save money until the moment when there is more powerful work on our side. According to her, the occupiers are trying to prevent the Defense Forces from expanding the bridgehead and gaining a foothold on the left bank, but “we are doing our job.”

Answering the question of how many personnel the enemy has concentrated on the left bank, Gumenyuk noted that changes are constantly taking place there, both in quantity and quality. “Suffering from unsuccessful assault operations, they actually lose up to 70% of the personnel in each assault group. Consequently, the units are forced to constantly maneuver and transfer to different directions. Now the total enemy grouping on the left bank - Kherson region, Zaporozhye in total is estimated at more than 70 thousand personal composition and hundreds of units of weapons and equipment. But not all of them are concentrated directly along the front line. They are located more in the deep rear and are brought up as an additional resource," said the head of the Joint Coordination Press Center of the Defense Forces of southern Ukraine.
