The expert named two directions where the Russian Federation will launch a summer offensive

The main target of the Russian army's summer offensive will be Donbass, but the situation may still change. This opinion was expressed by the head of the Council of Reservists of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ivan Timochko, in a commentary to Channel 24.
According to him, the Russian occupiers are already preparing for the next offensive campaign, and the objectives of the aggressor have remained unchanged from the very beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
“It is clear that the Russians will try to fulfill Putin’s task since 2022 - to occupy the Donetsk and Lugansk regions completely. Perhaps they are now also considering the occupation of the Kharkov region, just to wash away the shame. But the Kharkov region for them is an increase in the front, they have no money for that additional forces,” Tymochko emphasized.
In his opinion, in the Avdeevsky direction, Russians are striving to reach the Ugledar - Kurakhovo - Pokrovsk line, and on the other hand: on Chasov Yar - Kramatorsk - Slavyansk - Druzhkovka.
“In these two directions, the Russians planned to break through our line of defense in order to occupy the Donetsk region, to prepare a springboard for an offensive in the future. In addition, they will try to attack in order to strengthen their positions in the international negotiating arena. Putin is defined as the aggressor, but he wants to negotiate with the aggressor,” Tymochko believes.
