The incident occurred in the Krasnogvardeisky district, RIA Novosti writes, citing information from the authorities. “The plane crashed into a field...”, the message says. The channel claims that, according to preliminary information, there are no casualties or destruction. According to official data, the pilots of the crashed plane were found alive and were being taken to the hospital.
Information appeared online that a Tu-22M3, a long-range supersonic missile carrier-bomber, had crashed. “This is the first strategic aircraft that was hit by Ukraine in the air during the entire full-scale invasion,” monitor reports on Telegram.
An officer of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Anatoly Stefan, on his messenger channel also shared his opinion that an enemy bomber had crashed. “The Tu-22M3 (crashed - Ed.), with which the creatures are bombing Ukraine. It’s nice that on the hands of these freak pilots, who, unfortunately, survived, there are hundreds, if not thousands, of killed Ukrainians,” the soldier noted.
Then the enemy Ministry of Defense admitted that the Tu-22M3 had crashed. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the plane crashed after completing a combat mission and returning to its home airfield. The preliminary reason for the crash of the bomber is a “technical malfunction.”
