Greece commented on the information that the European Union and NATO are putting pressure on them on the issue of sending air defense systems to Ukraine.
"We have already provided tangible assistance to Ukraine and its people. However, it must be emphasized that no action will be taken - and I emphasize this - that could even remotely jeopardize our country's deterrence or air defense," the government spokesman said Pavlos Marinakis.
He told reporters that Greece had consistently denied such claims in the past. “And today I strongly reaffirm our position,” Ekathimerini quotes him as saying.
