Russian occupation forces are trying to capture Chasov Yar in the Donetsk region before May 9. Therefore, the enemy throws all his forces into the attack.
Deputy commander of the Achilles BpAk battalion of the 92nd Special Brigade, Oles Malyarevich, said on Public Radio that the Defense Forces are destroying everything “that moves in the direction of the city.” According to him, several brigades are working on this section of the front, including the 92nd separate assault brigade. His brigade provides air cover for his colleagues to prevent the Russians from capturing the city.
“They were given the task of capturing the city before May 9, and we were given the task of preventing them from doing this. The enemy has no territorial successes. They were stopped in the Bogdanovka area, in the Ivanovsky area. To the south - Klishcheevka and Andreevka, they also tried to seize the territory there several positions were lost, but the day before yesterday the 92nd brigade regained the position,” said Malyarevich.
As the military man noted, the situation in the Bakhmut direction is now very difficult and the Russian artillery does not subside, but there are slightly fewer tanks and infantry fighting vehicles.
“They are really doing everything possible to capture at least something along the canal line and even a little further,” said the deputy commander.
He also commented on rumors that the enemy had captured several commanding heights. Malyarechiv emphasized that this is not true, and such information is disseminated by those bloggers and journalists who want to “publish inside information.”
“Apparently, you want sensations. There is a settlement nearby, Novy Chasov Yar - this is the other side of the canal, near Chasov Yar. Several enemy assault groups ran there, which were destroyed at the same moment. But for some reason, the bloggers decided to say that the Russians were in Chasovoy Yar. They were there, but for quite a short time, they did not reach the heights,” the military man explained.
